Hi! I’m Danielle, your wellness advocate and the founder of The Nourished Brain.

I first heard about clean eating while attending Purely Inspired Academy of Beauty in the late 2000’s. Throughout my twenties I was always trying new ways to clean up my favourite recipes. I have never liked the idea of ‘dieting’ but knew that eating fresh, local & seasonal ingredients was good for me.

While taking a break from hairstyling to travel, I started to research more about the role nutrition has on our bodies as well as its impact on the environment. I signed up for CSNN – The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition the day after I returned home. It was here that I learned how to tailor the food I am eating to my specific individual needs – and that health goes beyond what is on my plate! My biggest ‘aha moment’ was learning the effects food has on mental well-being. CSNN has taught me that what we eat is the perfect armour to protect, inside and out.

I have spent over ten years working as a hairstylist, connecting with my clients and showing them how to look and feel good by enhancing their natural beauty on the outside. There is a disconnect though: you can be taking care of the outside, but without working on the inside – your mental and emotional well-being, then the outside can’t shine it’s brightest and you just won’t feel like you. My passion is to personalize a program for you to be the best version of yourself and living your happiest, healthiest life.
